I am originally from Nova Scotia and earned my BA from St. Francis Xavier University. After graduation, I was also trained as a Registered Massage Therapist for two years. I moved to Comox back in 2002 after teaching in South Korea for just over a year. I was heavily involved in rugby for the first five or so years I was in BC. I played for Canada for a few years and I consider it one of the biggest honours of my life. Once I was done with that level of rugby I got married and now have two beautiful girls (Carly, 7 and Maggie, 9). In 2014 I went back to school at Vancouver Island University and graduated from the Post. Bacc Education program in 2015. I am currently a grade 4/5 teacher at Tansor Elementary school in SD79. When I'm not playing club rugby I enjoy exploring the endless hiking opportunities available here in British Columbia. I will always be an East Coast girl at heart but I love the Island and do my best to enjoy everything that it has to offer!
